Missionary Updates

Sister Wadsworth (A.K.A. Heidi)
Heidi (Sister Wadsworth) has finally left the MTC! She and her two companions have not received their visas, so they ended up staying in the MTC for an extra two weeks to wait for the visas to come or be temporarily reassigned. One of her companions, Sister Carter, was reassigned to Independence, Missouri, and the other (Sister Thompson) is in Des Moines, Iowa. When the visas come in, the Church will send them to Bulgaria within a week, so we don’t know how long she’ll be serving in Washington. We received this letter yesterday...

Dearest family,

Hello! So you’ve all heard, but I’m leaving Monday to serve in the Washington Tacoma mission. I fly out Monday at 5am with four elders and another sister. I also found out that Tacoma is a biking mission. I don’t really know what I’m going to do about that, but I guess I’ll figure that out when I get there. Here are some pictures of when we got our calls. They usually just read it to you (where you are reassigned), but we asked the Travel Office lady if she would write them, so we could read them. It was really exciting. We all were screaming—the Polish elders (3), our new Bulgarian elders (4), me and my comps (3), and our teachers (3).

Anyway, here’s my address:
Washington Tacoma Mission
4007 Bridgeport Way W Ste D
University Place, WA 98466-4330

I’ve been busily packing and getting stuff ready. I’m leaving a box with Jared’s dad, so Jared can drop off stuff I don’t need. I’m also putting a tape in, so listen to that and then pack all of it away in the shed (please?) And if you could, label the bin with something that I’ll be able to find.

Happy graduation day, Heather! I saw Uncle Gene in the temple. He said your party was really fun!

Well, I better run! I love you all so much. Listen to my tape, if you have time.

Love,
Sister Heidi Wadsworth

P.S. We got our Bulgarian tags, so in total we will have 6: 2 English, 2 Bulgarian, and 2 ½ English and ½ Bulgarian (the ones we’ve worn at the MTC). Also, we are leaving the same day (an hour after) all of the Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Hungarian, and any other language that stays here the longest who came in on the same day as us – February 14, 2007 – Craziness!

I love you all!!!

Elder Cahoon (A.K.A. Devan)
I just received a letter from Devan's mission president and here is his new updated address:

Elder Devan James Cahoon
712 Clark
Jefferson City, MO 65101

When I talked to him on the phone the other day before he left for MO, he said that he LOVES to receive mail. I know that everyone is VERY busy, but if you ever have a minute to write him a short note, I know that he would really appreciate it.

Love ya much!
Jill
