With finals over and school on break, Britt and I finally got some time the other day to get our Christmas decorations up. We put up our little tree and even put together a put together a gingerbread house. Mom would be so proud!

Britt with our Christmas tree.

The beginnings of the most
gingerbreadiest house ever!

Brittany, our principle "
gingerneer" hard at work.

Let the decorating begin.

And voila! A edible winter wonderland.

Hours of meticulous detailing go into every one of fine gingerbread abodes.

I did work on the house some, though I probably did more candy eating than decorating. I guess that would make me the foreman.

The beauty of the finished product truly speaks for itself.
We had fun with our gingerbread house. It was pretty easy with the ready made kit, but I did miss the jenga-like excitement that came with making the house from scratch. We thought we would start off easy. Maybe someday we will be able to tackle a gingerbread house without Costco's help, but till then we're pretty happy with our work.
Love you all! And have a joyous Christmas!

Pretty neat. Ours this year is especially special. I used the wrong size pan and couldn't cut out all the pieces. Katy had the idea to cut them all smaller. So I had to freehand it. They are all cut out, but not assembled yet.
Once up, I think we could take bets to see how long before it buckles!
We are thinking of you and miss you!
