Since we are stuck here in the snow all winter, Katy and I decided to take advantage of the less than desirable weather and learn how to snowboard. Here are a few photos from our adventurous first day of snowboarding...

Katy had no problems getting into the "shredding" spirit.
I on the other hand took things more seriously, taking my time and the many chances to sit down (or fall down, it's all semantics anyway) and enjoy the natural beauty.

hahaha ... jason you are too funny... i am so glad we are taking this class together because if you weren't there i would feel like a complete loser. Not totally because you fell down more than me but just cuz we can laugh together at the fact that we kinda suck ... lol
DANG I JUST THOUGHT ABOUT HOW WE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN "AFTER" PICTURES TOO! ...with the ripped gloves ... frozen toes and faces... bruised bums... and nappy hair (well in my case at least)
You two are very brave. The mountains look beautiful. I'm sure you will be pros in no time!
Yeah, by the end I was getting it. I just needed a little one on one help from one of the instructors. I just hope I can remember it all next time.
